25,00 €
From a center point of the island to the sea, an easy hike through Skopelos landscape.
Description
Our adventure through the green and blue island begins when we leave Skopelos town from the Dolphin of Skopelos office at 9am for a 20-minute minibus drive into the hills and the start of this easy hike from the area of Pirgos.
The route is a pleasant downhill track (appr. 5 km), walking through the breathtaking scenery filled with olives, cypress, and Aleppo pine trees – estimates reckon that Skopelos has between five and eight million pines – and a variety of flowers and plantation.
Our first stop is at the local vineyard where we will be welcomed and introduced to the wine production process. Then we make a short stop at the small remote church of the Panagitsa (Virgin Mary) for a ten-minute break, and then continue our stroll down towards the mesmerizing view of the sea.
Our hiking will include views of Pelion on the Greek mainland, while from the other side we can see Northern Greece with Chalkidiki. Destination of our route is Panormos Beach, where you have the option to relax on the beach.
We have a break for lunch, and we return to Skopelos town at 14:30pm.
The whole tour offers a great way to explore the astounding nature of Skopelos.
Remember to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen and bring a bottle of water and, of course, a camera to capture the enchanting combination of green and blue, mountain and sea.
The price includes transport. The hike is suitable for all age groups and physical conditions.
